Giving up on Zelda

I started playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess a few weeks ago.  I used to love that kind of game; solving puzzles and making your way through huge dungeons used to be fun.  I had absolutely no fun this time around.  I continued to play it simply because I had already started and wanted to see it through.

Some people say they play games for the challenge and others to “see what comes next”.  I think I used to play for the challenge but now I get enough challenges from work.  I need something that delivers its reward quicker.  So I switched to Super Mario Galaxy and things are going much better.  Instead of playing hours to finish 1 challenge (a dungeon perhaps) it only takes minutes (collecting a star).

I don’t think I’ll be buying anymore single player games for a long time.  In fact, I might even try to sell Zelda (do stores like Gamestop buy used games?).  To enjoy a game I’ve found that I need a) quick results or (preferably) b) friends playing along.
